Indonesia: 6.2-magnitude earthquake in Sumatra kills at least 5

USPA News - At least five people were confirmed dead after a 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck the Indonesian island of Sumatra, officials said Tuesday. The earthquake hit on Tuesday afternoon in the district of Bener Meriah located in Sumatra`s Aceh Province, where dozens of homes damaged.
The Central Aceh district also suffered heavy damage. According to Indonesia`s National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) spokesperson, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, the bodies of five people were recovered, while two others went missing. In addition, at least 70 others were injured, although some reports said as many as 200 had suffered injuries. Relief operations were ongoing, after Indonesian authorities deployed emergency teams consisting of the military, police, and members of the health service, including the Red Cross.
