Package handler kills self after shooting 6 at FedEx hub near Atlanta

USPA News - A FedEx package handler opened fire at his workplace in suburban Atlanta on early Tuesday morning, injuring six people before turning the gun on himself, officials said. A seventh person was injured while fleeing the scene of the shootings.
The incident happened at about 5:54 a.m. local time on Tuesday when the suspect, identified as 19-year-old Geddy L. Kramer, drove up to the security guard shack at the FedEx hub in Kennesaw, a city located in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area. He shot the guard before entering the facility. "After shooting the guard, the male entered the warehouse where he shot another five individuals," Cobb County Police Department spokesman Officer Mike Bowman said. "After doing so, the male committed suicide inside a trailer which was docked on the backside of the business." The six victims were rushed to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where a 28-year-old man was in critical condition, a 52-year-old woman was in stable condition, a 19-year-old man was in stable condition, and a 22-year-old man was in stable condition. A 42-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were both treated for gunshot wounds and later released. A seventh person, an unidentified man, received an injury to his knee while attempting to flee the scene of the shootings. The motive for the shooting attack was not immediately known. A statement from FedEx said the situation had been stabilized and that the company`s efforts were now focused on the needs of its team members and cooperating with law enforcement agencies. "Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected, and with their families and friends," the statement said.
