U.S. mom kills 3 children before killing self at Georgia apartment - police

USPA News - A 35-year-old mother is believed to have killed her three young children before killing herself inside an apartment complex in the U.S. state of Georgia, local authorities said on Tuesday, though the methods used was not immediately disclosed. The scene was discovered just before 10 a.m. local time when a maintenance man found the victims at the Walton Crossing Apartment complex in Austell, located in Cobb County.

Officers who arrived at the scene discovered the bodies of a woman, a nine-month-old girl, a four-year-old boy, and a 10-year-old boy, inside the apartment. "Investigators believe that 35-year-old Kisha S. Holmes of Austell, Georgia first took the lives of her three children and then her own," the Cobb County Police Department said in a news release. "In addition to the Cobb County Medical Examiner`s Office assuming jurisdiction of the decedents, it is expected that they will determine the manner and cause of death." Authorities did not release any information about how the woman and children may have been killed.
