USPA NEWS - The Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Mrs. Smriti Irani presenting the cheque to the winner of Logo Contest for online consultation process on MyGov platform of New Education Policy, Mr. Nawaj Shaikh, in New Delhi on April 24, 2015.
The Union HRD Minister, Mrs. Smriti Irani said that for the first time ever the logo designed by a common man of the country and not by any advertising agency or a corporate house has been considered for the New Education Policy campaign.

The Union HRD Minister, Mrs. Smriti Irani introduced Mr. Nawaj Shaikh, the winner of the logo competition for the New Education Policy at the Press Briefing held in New Delhi on April 24. This competition was held through MyGov Platform.
The Minister said that this way the Ministry of HRD has taken a step towards making a common man directly engage and participate with the Government through MyGov Platform. Nawaj Shaikh winner of the logo competition was of the view that one must have education which makes a man into a better citizen of the country.

The competition was held through the MyGov Platform for suggesting the Logo, Slogan and Tagline for the New Education Policy of the Government of India. More than 3000 entries were received.. The logo has been selected and Nawaj Shaikh belongs to Pune, Maharashtra, has been awarded Rs. 10,000/- and a certificate of appreciation.
