USPA News - Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Catherine A. Novelli will join Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Andriy Pyvovarsky in signing an Open Skies agreement. The signing will take place on Tuesday, July 14, at 12:00 p.m. in the Treaty Room at the U.S. Department of State.
Open Skies agreements promote increased travel and trade, enhance productivity, and spur high-quality job opportunities and economic growth. They serve to eliminate government interference in commercial airline decisions about routes, capacity, and pricing and allow carriers to provide more affordable, convenient, and efficient air service for consumers. The United States has reached Open Skies agreements with more than 115 partners from every region of the world.
