Nitin Gadkari Calls On Egyptian Transport Minister

USPA NEWS - The Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways and Shipping, Mr. Nitin Gadkari meeting the Minister of Transport, Egypt, Mr. Eng. Hany Dahy, in Cairo on August 05, 2015. Both Leaders Exchanged Ideas On New Technology.
The Union Minister of Shipping, Road Transport & Highways, Mr. Nitin Gadkari called on the Egyptian Transport Minister Mr. Eng. Hany Dahy in Cairo, Egypt on August 5. Mr. Gadkari was in Egypt to represent India at the inaugural ceremony of New Suez Canal on behalf of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.

The MInister congratulated the Egyptian Minister on the completion of New Suez Canal project in record time of 11 months. The Egyptian Minister expressed keen interest in India´s ambitious plans for infrastructure development.
Both leaders exchanged ideas on innovative financing for PPP projects and use of new technology in areas of green transport, river transport & ports etc. The Egyptian river transport authority organized a Nile river cruise for Mr. Gadkari and gave him a presentation on the river transport in Nile.

The two ministers also agreed to enhance cooperation between India and Egypt in the area of Inland waterways and port development. A MoU is scheduled to be signed in this regard.
