MTN Qhubeka Sbaragli leads to the top of the podium in Castellon

Dumoulin keeps the red jersey of leader

USPA NEWS - Sbaragli surprising victory (MTN-QHUBEKA) in Castellon, final point of the first block of the Vuelta of Spain before the rest day in Andorra. The Italian beat in a thrilling sprint to the heavy favorite to win stage the German John Degenkolb (Giant-Alpecin) and Spanish Jose Joaquín Rojas (Movistar).
Tom Dumoulin (Giant-Alpecin), who worked for his teammate in the final kilometers, will wear red on the day marked by all candidates for the overall win of the Spanish round. One of the most frenetic stages of this edition of the Vuelta, the 10th stage, started from Valencia with continuous attacks in the first units of the pack, right up to the first slopes of the Port of Oronet (3rd).
In its rise a group of thirty-seven escapees formed units: Dario Cataldo and Luis Leon Sanchez (Astana) Matteo Montaguti and Mickael Cherel (Ag2r-La Mondiale), Sergio Henao, Ian Boswell and Salvatore Puccio (Team Sky), Carlos Verona (Etixx-Quick Step), Riccardo Zoidl (Trek), Tiago Machado and Eduard Vorganov (Katusha), Daniel Navarro and Romain Hardy (Cofidis), Peter Velits, Darwin Atapuma and Amael Moinard (BMC), Lawson Craddock (Giant-Alpecin ), Ruben Plaza and Tsgabu Grmay (Lampre-Merida).
Also Martijn Keizer and George Bennett (LottoNL-Jumbo), Lawrance Warbasse (IAM Cycling), Imanol Erviti and Andrey Amador (Movistar), David Arroyo, Ángel Madrazo and Pello Bilbao (Case rural-Seguros RGA), Natnael Berhane and Stephen Cummings (MTN-QHUBEKA), Jurgen Van den Broeck and Maxime Monfort (Lotto-Soudal), Carlos Quintero and Rodolfo Torres (Team Colombia), Benjamin King and Davide Villella (Cannondale-Garmin), Kenny Elissonde (FDJ) and Cameron Meyer (Orica-GreenEdge).
Oronet ramps abandoning Caleb Ewan (Orica-GreenEdge), winner in Alcala de Guadaira be charged. After crowning, three cyclists were added to the flight forming a group of forty: Jerome Cousin (Europcar), Johannes Frohlinger (Giant-Alpecin) and Jay McCarthy (Tinkoff-Saxo). In the climb to Alto del Desierto de Las Palmas (2nd) a trio with Romain Sicard (Europcar), Alessandro de Marchi (BMC) and Kenny Elissonde (FDJ) it was formed. The Giant-Alpecin work ended his adventure a 5 km sprint in Castellon de la Plana.
