Intensifying Surveillance To Check Crime Against Women
In an effort to check crime against women in Proddatur, DSP Poojitha Neelam constituted a SHE Team as per the the directives of District SP PHD Rama Krishna on Monday and intensified their surveillance.

SHE Team comprises an ASI, two women Head Constables, two women Constables and two men constables, said DSP Poojitha.
“˜They will be in plain clothes and move in various parts of Proddatur and keep a close watch on the safety of women and girl students. This will be monitored under the supervision of the ASI. We will intensify the activities of SHE Team and take all measures for the safety and security of women and girl students in consultation with all stakeholders´, Said the DSP.

The DSP warned people of serious action if they resort to eve-teasing, passing comments on women and creating nuisance in public places, etc. The DSP also reiterated that they would deal sternly with offenders involved in harassment of women and resorting to eve-teasing and sexual harassment.
