USPA NEWS - A delegation of Japanese Parliamentarians led by the Secretary General of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Mr. Toshihiro Nikai calls on the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, in New Delhi on November 03, 2016.

Seeks Strengthening Of Bilateral Cooperation
A delegation of Japanese Parliamentarians called on Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi on Nov 3. The delegation was led by Mr. Toshihiro Nikai, and included Mr. Motoo Hayashi and Mr. Tatsuo Hirano.

The Prime Minister recalled his interaction with the Japan-India Parliamentarians´ Friendship League in September, and welcomed increased interaction between the legislatures of both countries. The Prime Minister also called for strengthening exchanges between State-level legislatures.
The Prime Minister welcomed the initiative of Mr. Toshihiro Nikai to raise awareness about the threat posed by Tsunamis, and sought strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the field of disaster risk reduction and disaster management.

The Prime Minister also said that he is looking forward to his visit to Japan next week.
